Fog Picture

From this morning.
Here is my weather blog that goes with my website www.hows-the-weather.com Information here will focus mostly on south Florida, but should be a good read for most anyone. Enjoy!
After some rain yesterday we drove through some patchy and at times
dense fog last night in Montgomery county.
This morning we have a dense fog advisory in effect. With a high of
about 59 today and the path of a low going more out to sea we will not
see any snow on this visit. For a few days we thought we may see some
overnight snow tonight but that will not happen :(
Florida weather continues warm through Wednesday when we will have a
front come through.

Here is Clare ready for her first flight. We are heading to Philly this
morning. Everyone is wide awake, even though it is 5:50am. We will let
you know when we land.
Yes, it is January and we have a disturbance over Cuba. Shear is too
strong in the mid and upper levels to allow anything to form.
It will be cooler in the morning and a front comes through over night.
Nothing to strong but it will give us a break from the 80s we have had
around since the weekend.
This morning at 6am it was 73 here at the weather center. After a line of showers came through along with a wind shift it was 66 at 6:15am. We went on to a low of 63 at 8:02am. Max wind here was 21mph at 7:05am.
The cool weather will be with us through the day with a high of about 69. Tonigh we will be down to 49 then a nice Thursday.
We are in for a cool night and day on Wednesday. There should only be
about a 5 degree difference between the morning low and afternoon high.
In fact for the 24 hour period our high will be just after midnight of
about 72F. Other than that it will be in the 60s all day.
Good night.
I know the pics I posted last Sunday are not on the blog, I will fix
that tomorrow night. In the meantime we are in store for another cool
weekend. Not expecting ice on the cars though lows right now will be in
the 40s. Also tomorrow night I will issue the low forecast and
additional information about the home weather station. I think it is
almost ready.
With a low of 43 this is what I found on our car. I did not even notice
it until I turned the wipers on.
Zeta is now history and the 2005 season officially ends. How soon before the 2006 begins?? Anyhow, Zeta became the longest lasting January tropical cyclone in basin today before being downgraded.
Still going to be cold down here, but not as cold as I stated last night. Currently 55 with a dew point of 34. With cloud cover that was not expected I am going to revise tomorrow's low to 43 and 42 on Sunday morning.
Stay warm!
Zeta is still spinning out there. Last night at this time Zeta was downgraded to a depression then this morning upgraded back to a tropical storm. Currently the system look weak and there is a very good chance Zeta will again be a depression tomorrow. (Yes, I know there is no consistency in my forecasts).
Now one thing I am more sure about, it will be cold around here this weekend. Sunday will be the colder of the mornings. My current forecast is a low of 40 on Saturday and 38 on Sunday. I will revise this tomorrow if needed. Get the jackets out.
As far as next week, we will see a very quick warm up with highs around 70 Monday and 75 by Wednesday.
Check back tomorrow for further updates.
Zeta's winds are now at 60 and looks like it could be a bit higher.
Tonight the GFDL is forecasting Zeta to be a hurricane in about a day.
That is the only model to suggest this, but it was the only one to
forecst strengthening in the past two days. Like Vince and Epsilon
there is limited skill in forecasting these sub-tropical latitude
systems.
